Spiritualism Today Waters Down Biblical Christian Truths.

Spiritualism is a system of beliefs or religious practices based on supposed communication with the spirits of the dead, especially through mediums.  This belief is watering down the truth that is written in God's word.

Spiritualism is based on a truth that the world is made up of at least two fundamental substances, matter and spirit.  It tries to explain what spiritual entities exist.   It tries to show a relationship between a soul, the afterlife, spirits of the dead, deities and mediums.  It also tries to explain the details about the nature of the relationship between the spirits that exist and matter.

Spiritualism has deep ties to Shamanism which is a practice that involves a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to perceive and interact with a spirit world and channel these transcendental energies into this world.  Spiritualism is an idea with practices and beliefs that are recorded throughout humanity's history and in a variety of cultures.

There is a great difference between Christianity and Spiritualism.  There are many lines of teaching that are similar.  Both religions accept the Bible and believe that Jesus Christ are their savior.   “Both accept One God although the premise is different. Spiritualists accept God as Infinite Intelligence – an androgynous spirit being of neither sex but of unlimited knowledge in all matters while Christians see God as an anthropomorphic or father figure god.”  (http://sunflowerchapel.org/2012-archives/the-differences-between-spiritualism-and-christianity/)

That is pretty much where it ends.  Basically, part of the spiritualistic belief is that we are naturally immortal.  Bible scripture time and time again does not support this idea.  Immortality of the soul or the spirit is a belief that is supported by pagan religions and philosophies, such as Shamanism.  This destructive idea became an integral part of the Christian religion during the "Great Apostasy".

Today, the idea that the soul or the spirit lives on after death, has replaced what the Bible consistently supports and that is that "the dead know nothing" (Ecclesiastes 9:5).  Many Christian today have the belief that the spirits of the dead are the "ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation" (Hebrew 1:14).  This idea has paved the way for the modern spiritualism of today.

This whole idea is not supported by scripture on the basis that the Bible does not contradict itself and there is too much Biblical scripture that contradicts the idea of the immortality of the soul or the spirit.

Satan has tremendous power and with this power he has the ability to have people believe that they are seeing spirits of departed loved ones.  Many people are taking comfort in a lie that their friends and loved ones are enjoying heaven while all the time they are opening themselves up to "deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons" which blind them to the real truth. (1 Timothy 4:1).

Bible scripture contradicts the basic doctrines of Spiritualism.  The Bible consistently confirms that we do not have immortal souls or spirits and we cannot communicate with the dead because the book of Ecclesiastes in chapter 9, verse 5 clearly tells us that “...the dead no nothing”.  It is just that simple.

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS IS THE RESULT OF HUMAN NATURE!
