There was a total of 26 people killed in the Newton Connecticut senseless killing and nothing anybody can do or say will bring these people back. The State of Connecticut is ranked as number five in gun control laws, yet this poor excuse for a human being was still able to get his hands on a gun. The question at this point should be exactly how did this individual get his hands on that particular gun.
This discussion needs to be had, but now is not the time to have it. The discussion we need to have now is how can we help the survivors get through this terrible tragedy and how can we keep all people safe from this type of evil.
Evil has been in the world since the beginning of time and it will be in this world til the end of this age. The advanced nations in the world live in an age where the physical state of humanity has never been better. But despite this fact, evil is still prevalent all over the world and it will not get better, it will get worse.
There has never been a period in history where there was a completely peaceful world. In the last several decades humanity has figured out the most horrifying ways to kill each other. Man actually has enough hardware to kill every man woman and child on the earth many times over. The real question on everybody's mind right now should be "Why does evil like we just saw in Newton Connecticut permeate in our societies?"
There is an answer to this question. There is a powerful, highly intelligent, infinitely influential being on earth who actively orchestrates all the wickedness that dominates this planet. Most people recognize him as Satan, or the Devil. The truth that is a central message in the Bible is that the devil is the enemy of all humanity men, women, and children all alike.
The unfortunate truth is that the answer to the second part of the question is that we will never be able to keep all people safe from that sort of evil as long as Satan is in the world. The answer to the first part of the question is that we all need to collectively turn to God and ask Him through Jesus Christ to give the survivors the strength and the will power to get through this.
The survivors need to understand and take comfort in the knowledge that they will at some point in time in the future, be united with their loved one. At this point in time, our Savior, Jesus Christ will be among us and will be the ruler of the entire earth. "...And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever..." (Isaiah 9:6-7).
The survivors need to understand that there will be justice for their loved ones and wicked, evil people like Adam Lanza will be judged and along with Satan, they will be justly punished.
